The EXL is designed for tenor trombone players who like a wider cup, similar to a Bach 4G. This piece balances overall weight, rim diameter, cup depth, and throat to be at home in any ensemble with much more presence of core and projection compared to the E-1. Rim is 1.035 and the throat is .290 in diameter, funnel shape cup.
